Without question this drug has stimulant characteristics and also increases circulation. Personally I take it every day with other herbs such as Ginko biloba to improve my mental acuity and memory. I find it just as effective as caffeine without the addictive characteristics associated with stimulants. After reading your entire blog post I wouldn't say I totally disagree with you to extent that excessively large dosages are used in conjunction with other powerful psychoactive chemicals to provide a excessive and notably toxic level of drugs in most modern energy drinks. Which can be habit forming due to their high caffeine content. On the other hand some of your claims that this is a new pandemic of youth culture or something isolated in the drug community as an openly abused drug as marijuana, alcohol, or other party drugs are is questionable if not wholly untrue. -- Heres some facts you might consider. Ginseng is FDA approved. Ginseng is not on the list of chemicals screened at the olympics or any other sporting industry. Ginseng is often recommended by healthcare practitioners as a natural alternative to many common health problems. I think we need to look at the underlying problems that cause drug abuse as opposed to focusing on the drugs themselves. The drugs are in themselves a bandaid trying to treat an arterial wound.

I have been taking high doses of ginseng for over three years. Each dose is 8000mg and I take it atleast twice a week. The effects of takin git before bed. I wake up refreshed and am not groggy.
If I take it after a high carb meal, my blood sugars are mitigated, which reduces my risk of diabeties.
When i take it before exercise, I do not get sore later.
I have lost 22pounds over the years and then leveled out at my medically ideal trim figure. My cholesterol score dropped to 120.

What is so bad about results?

Ture, it does enhance stimulants like caffein, but that is at the discretion of it's user.

For anyone that takes this article seriously, I'm pretty sure taking ginseng is just a little bit safer than huffing freon or glade. I'm not a doctor though.
